My new laptop Vido plays high-definition, but I want to connect my laptop to my LCD high-definition TV. My laptop has a VGA video output that I can not connect to my TV.

You also need a 1 / 8 "to RCA adapter for audio.
Although I agree, I buy an HD-DVD or BluRay player for best results.
Buying a HD DVD on the TV itself, believe me. much better to step over the ropes and make a difference. also guaranteed results.
